RESIDENCE IN KIFISSIA

YEAR OF CONSTRUCTION 2012

← RETURN TO WORKS

The design and materials used here define a modern, but not abstract, kitchen style. Our intention is to create a familiar piece of furniture, suitable for open spaces.
Our electrical utensils, the material of the counters in white quartz, the glass used in the hanging cabinets and the special lighting (adapted on the spice containers), combine design and practicality on every piece of furniture.
The main body of our furniture is made of walnut, in a combination of lacquer in pastel shade of beige. The selection of Quartz that was placed for a bench and the wall covering was in the same tones. This created an imposing set of construction but not dark in tones.
The INOX elements, the electric utensils, the Roll Top, the battery and the accessories complete the rest of the set.

Analysis:
Synthetic material in gray-brown colors with simple lines was used on the base cabinets and on the sides of the furniture. We tried to have a piece of furniture in a minimal form, so we did not use external knobs. White, glossy lacquer was used on hanging cabinets along with glass knobs. We wanted the practicality to exist and at the same time the thought of simple, linear furniture not to be differentiated.

Benches:
The material used is white quartz, which was also placed as a back.

Mechanisms:
BLUM hinges, drawers and drawer accessories.

Design study:
We had a large kitchen with difficult spaces. But our clients knew very well what they wanted, they had thoughts organized in design and ergonomics and this made our study easier. Many choices were their own thoughts, they had organized a formal relationship between colors and materials. We thank them for honoring us with their cooperation and for allowing us later, when the house was inhabited, to photograph our work. The result is more impressive in reality and very functional.
